We
recommend using Outlook Express
for your email however there are other free programs
available such as Pegasus. Their setup however is
very similar to Outlook Express
Outlook
Express is installed by default on almost every
version of Windows. You need to configure it before
you use it.
To
start, open Outlook Express from the START
menu.
In the Menu Bar click on Tools and then Accounts

This
will open this window . Note that you may have existing
accounts from other ISPs in here. You can delete
them if you are no longer using them.
Click
the Add button and select Mail to
start to add a new account for Faithnomore email.

This
window should now appear.
Firstly
you need to enter your full name - this is what
appears in the From: box of an email that is received
from you.
Click

In
this window you enter your full email address
- don't make any mistakes because this is the email
address that is replied to when someone tries to
reply to an email that you sent to them!
REMEMBER
that we use @smartEmail.co.uk and not @smartmail.co.uk
so double check your spelling.

Faithnomore
provides POP3 email so now enter the details
of the Incoming and Outgoing mail
servers.
The
name for the POP3 server (this is the server
that stores your email ready for you to collect
it) is called pop3.smartemail.co.uk and the
SMTP server (this is the server that sends
email to other people for you) is called smtp.smartemail.co.uk.
Remember
that ALL email must be sent out through our
SMTP server, so even if you are collecting email
from another POP3 server, you STILL send out through
our SMTP server.
Click

The
account name is the same as your dialup username
and is also your email address (see note below)
and so enter this and your password. Check the Remember
Password box to save having to enter your password
every time you check your email.
Click
Next.

Note:
Faithnomore allows you to setup multiple Email ALIASES
as well as multiple Email Accounts (5 of them).
An
alias is simply another identity or email address
that results in email being sent to the same Mailbox
- so email sent to fred@smartemail.co.uk, dave@smartemail.co.uk
and mary@smartemail.co.uk would all be sent to the
your_name@smartemail.co.uk mailbox if they were
setup as aliases. You would then set up filters
in Outlook Express to send the email to different
folders.
You
could also set up additional Mailboxes if you wanted
different family members to each have their own
email address. In this case email sent to fred@smartemail.co.uk
would go to his mailbox, email sent to dave@smartemail.co.uk
would go to his and mary@smartemail.co.uk would
go to hers - you would set up a new Mail Account
in Outlook Express for each person.
You
have now created the email account in Outlook Express
so now click Finish.

You
now need to finish off the configuration so click
on Tools and Accounts again and select
the Account which is called pop3.smartemail.co.uk
and using the right hand mouse button select Properties.
Change
the name to Faithnomore and then click on the Connection
tab.

Use
the drop down menu to select the Faithnomore dialup
account that you previously created.
Finally
click OK and return to the main windows of
Outlook Express.
Click
Send & Receive and if you have set everything
up correctly you should get no errors. Try
sending yourself and email to test that everything
is working. You can also send an email to support@faithnomore.co.uk
and we will respond confirming that your email is
working and correctly setup.
